February 18th - Celebrate Black History Month - Movie Matinee

Movie Rating:  PG.

A biopic based on the life of Phiona Mutesi and her triumphant path to becoming a chess champion. Set in Katwe, a ghetto of Uganda where there are not a lot of life's options, the story follows young Phiona and her mother who struggles to keep a roof over the poor family's heads.  But options suddenly open up for Phiona when she catches her brother sneaking off and playing chess.  It is a game in which she excels and starts to envision as a way out of Katwe for her family.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent/adult, and the parent/adult must remain with the child(ren) during the program.

Due to safety regulations and room restrictions, no carriages or strollers are allowed in the program.

Doors open one-half hour prior to the start of the movie.

LATECOMERS PLEASE NOTE:  Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Doors will close when a movie staff member determines no more seats are available.
