Flagler County Government is accepting resumes and completed County Employment Applications to work as a Park Ranger in the Flagler County General Services Department/Parks & Recreation Division.

DUTIES:   Responsible for assisting with the operation of Princess Place Preserve and Bull Creek Campground, including tours and special events.  Performs semi-skilled manual laboring tasks and a variety of construction and maintenance work.  Maintains parks grounds and facilities by mowing, edging, weed trimming, clearing trees, brush and vegetation, dragging roads and emptying garbage receptacles, cleaning windows, floors, bathrooms.  Installs and repairs buildings, fences, trails, service road, fire lanes, boardwalks, campsites, picnic sites, boat ramps, docks and all other necessary facilities at both sites. Explains facilities and services provided for public use, enjoyment and education; meets visitors, answers questions, provides information and directions.  Educates visitors in the use of campfire facilities and patrols grounds to prevent fires, vandalism and theft. Ensures park rules are enforced. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Requires knowledge of the practices, methods, operational and maintenance requirements of typical park facilities and equipment.  Knowledge of safety precautions and effective precautionary measures.  Ability to meet the public effectively.  Graduation from an accredited High School or possession of an Equivalency Diploma.  Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.  Full-time 40 hours per week.  Position requires weekend and holiday work.  Salary $12.35 per hour.  Apply online at or send county applications and resumes to:  Flagler County Human Resources Department, 1769 E.
