Flagler Chamber Donates $4,284 To Princess Place Preserve

Flagler County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Rebecca DeLorenzo and Chamber Program and Event Manager Tiffany Edwards presented a check to the Flagler County Commission January 12 for $4,284.43 which represents 25 percent of the proceeds from the Creekside Festival at Princess Place Preserve. DeLorenzo told members of the County Commission that the festival celebrated its 10th Anniversary this past year and in the past decade the Chamber has donated approximately $35,000 from the festival to the Princess Place Preserve. DeLorenzo also presented each of the Commissioners with a CD of the Creekside music (on sale at the Chamber Office.)

Flagler County Library Director Holly Albanese presented two checks totaling $29,000 to the County Commission at its January 12, meeting. The funds are donations from the estates of two individuals who have passed on and wanted to leave funds for the Flagler County Library. The estate of Warren Bullard bequeathed the library $19,000. Bullard lived in the area and frequented the Library. Rose Kaufman was a volunteer at the Library when it was located at the storefront in the Palm Harbor Village shopping center. Her son David attended the meeting and said she wished to donate something to the Library.

Flagler County’s Feed Flagler effort continues its seven years of success with an all out effort on the part of the community to raise funds and food. Many volunteers and donors were recognized by the County Commission on December 15 including: Blue and Red Knights Motorcycle clubs, Panera Bread, Flagler County Tax Collectors Office, Flagler County Sheriff’s Department, Oceanside Bar and Grill, Flagler Volunteers, Flagler County School Board, Cities of Palm Coast and Bunnell, and County Employees. Unused proceeds are distributed to local food pantries for use throughout the year.
