Family & Consumer Sciences

University of Florida IFAS

About the Program
The Family and Consumer Sciences program helps residents meet the challenges of their daily life at home and in their community. Educational programs and information focus on nutrition and health, food safety, housing, indoor air quality, money management, and family development.

The Family and Consumer Sciences agent works with advisory committees and local agencies to address consumer issues.

This program also includes The Family Nutrition Program (FNP). The FNP program teaches children, youth, and senior citizens the skills required for a healthy diet and lifestyle.
