Contractor Review Board
The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) established the Contractor Review Board July 30, 2007 under Section 8 of the Flagler County Code of Ordinances. The Board consists of 10 members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and has authority to propose bylaws, rules, and regulations for adoption by the BOCC and adopt rules for the conduct of its hearings.
The purpose of this board is to review and approve or deny applications of Flagler County authorized contractor licenses as well as enforce the provisions of the Code in regulation of Class I, Class II, and local specialty and unlicensed contracting as provided in Florida Statute Chapter 489. The board will hear appeals of decisions and interpretations of the building official; hear appeals, decisions, and interpretations of the licensing administrator; hear appeals of the building official on determinations of unsafe building; and issue orders necessary to bring a violation into compliance.
