Bartram's Travels Comes Alive at the Library - October 9, 2006

         2500 Palm Coast Parkway, NW – Palm Coast, FL.
 
Mr. J. D. Sutton, actor and playwright will portray naturalist, William Bartram who in 1775 set out for a four-year exploration of Florida, the Carolinas and Georgia. His collection of tales, Bartram’s Travels is now considered a classic praised for its vivid description of Native American culture and of a land largely untouched by European hands. Mr. Sutton brings William Bartram to life, sharing tales of his adventures and his encounters with the Seminoles.
This program sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Flagler County and the Florida Humanities Council will serve as a kick-off for the Chamber of Commerce Creekside Festival, to be held the weekend of October 14th and 15th at Princess Place Preserve. The program is open to all free of charge and light refreshments will be served.
