Parks reopen Friday

November 30, 2017 – Princess Place Preserve and the Haw Creek Preserve (Russell Landing) will reopen Friday, December 1, after they were closed for a week due to localized flooding.

“There is still some standing water on roadway going to Russell Landing, but it is passable,” said Flagler County Parks Manager Frank Barbuti. “Princess Place has wet areas – the trails – but the park is open and the camp sites are dry.”

All trails at Princess Place, including equestrian trails, are closed with the exception of the paved ADA accessible trail.

The Haw Creek Preserve is located at 2007 County Road 2007 in western Flagler County. Princess Place Preserve is located at 2500 Princess Place Road.

“Our staff has been working diligently to get the parks back in shape so they can reopen,” County Administrator Craig Coffey said. “We appreciate everyone’s patience. This has been an exceptional year for rainfall, which has caused flooding.”
