FDOT to host public hearing on roundabout

December 22, 2017 – The Florida Department of Transportation is hosting a January 18 public hearing about the roundabout design proposed for the intersection of U.S. 1 and Old Dixie Highway.

The hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. with an open house, followed by a formal presentation at 6 p.m. Public comment will follow. The hearing will be held at the Community Baptist Church, 956 Old Dixie Highway, Bunnell.

“Our Board of County Commissioners, as well as our citizens, have expressed a lot of questions and concerns about this proposed project,” said Flagler County Administrator Craig Coffey. “We wanted to help get the word out about this public hearing because of the level of interest throughout the county.”

According to an invitation sent to Flagler County staff, a court reporter will be present, and will prepare a verbatim transcript of the proceedings.

Those wishing to submit written statements or exhibits in place of, or in addition to, oral statements, may do so at the hearing.

Written statements and exhibits postmarked on or before January 29, 2018, will also become part of the public hearing record. They should be mailed to: Ms. Heidi Trivett, FDOT Project Manager, heidi.trivett@dot.state.fl.us, 386-943-5466, 719 South Woodland Boulevard, DeLand, FL 32720.
