Gardens project discussion continued to November 16 meeting at request of developer

October 14, 2020 – Flagler County officials are continuing the Gardens PUD Site Development Plan and Preliminary Plat discussions until the November 16 regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners at the request of the developer’s attorney.

“Since the last BOCC meeting we have been working on the issues raised by the board for further evaluation. Putting this information together has taken us a bit longer than expected,” said Michael Chiumento in an email Wednesday to Planning Director Adam Mengel. “For example, we are finalizing some of the technical data we intend to use to discuss stormwater and the adjacent subdivision, Palm Drive. In this light, we respectfully request that the BOCC to continue the matter to November 16, 2020.”

Mengel sent a memo to the Board of County Commissioners.

“The Board may opt to hear and consider these items; however, in light of the applicant’s request for continuance and the Board’s past practice, staff has not included any agenda backup related to the Gardens project in the October 19, 2020 agenda and backup,” he said.

While the public is permitted to comment on non-agenda items during the Public Comment periods of the meeting, comments about this topic will be more beneficial at the November 16 meeting when the developer is present.
