CRIME PREVENTION GRANT OFFERED

The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners established the Crime Prevention Fund to specifically address crime affecting residential safety within Flagler County communities. Crime Prevention Funds are generated from fines assessed, at the discretion of Flagler County Circuit Court Judges, to convicted criminals ($50 for felonies and $20 for misdemeanors).

In November 2009, the Board of County Commissioners approved the grant Program establishing the Crime Prevention Grant Program, which provides organizations that serve Flagler County the opportunity to apply for crime prevention project funding. Applications for Crime Prevention grants are awarded on an annual basis with maximum available grant funding of $55,000.00 per year. Grants awards are available for projects ranging up to $20,000.00 or higher if the project is deemed to have a significant impact on crime prevention.
